Vortex pumps can work not only with an aqueous medium, but also with a mixture of water and gas. Such abilities are provided by the housing design and the use of a special impeller - an impeller. It is the impeller that captures the air and propels it inside the cochlea-shaped housing. There is a small amount of water inside the housing, the air is mixed with the liquid and discharged through the outlet pipe.
